Barangay Biri Sur

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Biri Sur is one of the administrative divisions of Leon in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Biri Sur had a population of 627. This made it the 24th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Biri Sur accounted for approximately 1.21% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 524 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 627 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +19.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Biri Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
