Barangay Coyugan Norte

Barangay Coyugan Norte is a very small barangay in the municipality of Leon, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Coyugan Norte had a population of 104. This made it the 85th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Coyugan Norte accounted for approximately 0.20% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Coyugan Norte changed from 122 to 104, a shift of -14.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Leon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Coyugan Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
