Barangay Jamog Gines

Barangay Jamog Gines is a very small barangay in the municipality of Leon, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Jamog Gines had a population of 335. This made it the 53rd largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jamog Gines accounted for approximately 0.64% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 306 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 335 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Jamog Gines is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
