Barangay Nalbang

Barangay Nalbang is a very small barangay in the municipality of Leon, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nalbang had a population of 210. This made it the 79th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nalbang accounted for approximately 0.40% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Nalbang moving from 254 residents to 210 residents, an intercensal change of -17.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Nalbang is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
