Barangay Odong-odong

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Odong-odong is one of the administrative divisions of Leon in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Odong-odong had a population of 211. This made it the 78th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Odong-odong accounted for approximately 0.41% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Odong-odong moving from 229 residents to 211 residents, an intercensal change of -7.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Odong-odong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Leon is a municipality comprising 85 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Odong-odong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
