Barangay Siol Norte

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Siol Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Leon in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Siol Norte had a population of 276. This made it the 66th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Siol Norte accounted for approximately 0.53% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Siol Norte changed from 298 to 276, a shift of -7.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Leon. Barangay Siol Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Leon is a municipality comprising 85 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Siol Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Siol Norte ranks 1592nd by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
