Situated in Leon, Iloilo, Barangay Tacuyong Norte is one of 85 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

This made it the 35th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tacuyong Norte changed from 400 to 464, a shift of +16.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Leon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tacuyong Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
