Barangay Tina-an Norte

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tina-an Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Leon in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tina-an Norte had a population of 1,120. This made it the 8th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tina-an Norte accounted for approximately 2.15% of the total population of Leon, which stood at 51,990 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,145 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,120 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Tina-an Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Leon is a municipality comprising 85 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tina-an Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
