Barangay Tina-an Sur

Barangay Tina-an Sur forms part of Leon, a municipality in Iloilo, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tina-an Sur had a population of 328. This made it the 54th largest of 85 barangays in Leon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. The barangay recorded 287 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 328 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Tina-an Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Leon is a municipality comprising 85 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tina-an Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
