Barangay Dela Paz

Situated in Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Dela Paz is one of 37 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dela Paz had a population of 1,116. This made it the 12th largest of 37 barangays in Liloy by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dela Paz accounted for approximately 2.64% of the total population of Liloy, which stood at 42,213 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 914 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,116 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +22.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Dela Paz is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Liloy is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dela Paz, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Zamboanga Del Norte, which contains 691 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dela Paz ranks 349th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
