Barangay Alegria Sur

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Alegria Sur is one of the administrative divisions of Loay in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Alegria Sur had a population of 1,190. This made it the 3rd largest of 24 barangays in Loay by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alegria Sur accounted for approximately 6.66% of the total population of Loay, which stood at 17,855 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Alegria Sur moving from 997 residents to 1,190 residents, an intercensal change of +19.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
