This made it the 9th largest of 24 barangays in Loay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Las Salinas Sur accounted for approximately 4.39% of the total population of Loay, which stood at 17,855 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Las Salinas Sur changed from 774 to 784, a shift of +1.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Loay.
