Barangay Botoc Oriental

Barangay Botoc Oriental is a small barangay in the municipality of Loay, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Botoc Oriental had a population of 696. This made it the 12th largest of 24 barangays in Loay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Botoc Oriental accounted for approximately 3.90% of the total population of Loay, which stood at 17,855 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Botoc Oriental moving from 644 residents to 696 residents, an intercensal change of +8.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Botoc Oriental is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
