Barangay Bales

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bales is one of the administrative divisions of Maasim in Sarangani, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bales had a population of 1,445. This made it the 15th largest of 16 barangays in Maasim by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bales accounted for approximately 2.23% of the total population of Maasim, which stood at 64,940 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bales moving from 1,056 residents to 1,445 residents, an intercensal change of +36.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bales is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Maasim is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bales, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
