Barangay Pulang Lupa

Barangay Pulang Lupa is a small barangay in the municipality of Mabini, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pulang Lupa had a population of 1,270. This made it the 19th largest of 34 barangays in Mabini by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pulang Lupa accounted for approximately 2.50% of the total population of Mabini, which stood at 50,858 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pulang Lupa moving from 969 residents to 1,270 residents, an intercensal change of +31.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pulang Lupa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mabini is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pulang Lupa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
