Barangay Diwan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Diwan is one of the administrative divisions of Mahayag in Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Diwan had a population of 1,191. This made it the 20th largest of 29 barangays in Mahayag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Diwan accounted for approximately 2.47% of the total population of Mahayag, which stood at 48,258 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Diwan moving from 1,166 residents to 1,191 residents, an intercensal change of +2.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
