Barangay Pedagan

Situated in Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Pedagan is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pedagan had a population of 428. This made it the 28th largest of 29 barangays in Mahayag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pedagan changed from 451 to 428, a shift of -5.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Mahayag. Barangay Pedagan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
