Barangay III (Pob.)

Situated in Malilipot, Albay, Barangay III (Pob.) is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay III (Pob.) had a population of 1,434. This made it the 13th largest of 18 barangays in Malilipot by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay III (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.51% of the total population of Malilipot, which stood at 40,857 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay III (Pob.) changed from 1,295 to 1,434, a shift of +10.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Malilipot. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay III (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malilipot is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay III (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
