Situated in Malilipot, Albay, Barangay Calbayog is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calbayog had a population of 2,360. This made it the 7th largest of 18 barangays in Malilipot by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calbayog accounted for approximately 5.78% of the total population of Malilipot, which stood at 40,857 in the same census year.
