Barangay Canaway

Barangay Canaway is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Malilipot, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canaway had a population of 2,588. This made it the 5th largest of 18 barangays in Malilipot by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canaway accounted for approximately 6.33% of the total population of Malilipot, which stood at 40,857 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Canaway moving from 2,599 residents to 2,588 residents, an intercensal change of -0.4%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community.
