Barangay Pantal

Situated in Manaoag, Pangasinan, Barangay Pantal is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pantal had a population of 3,210. This made it the 9th largest of 26 barangays in Manaoag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pantal accounted for approximately 4.22% of the total population of Manaoag, which stood at 76,045 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,175 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,210 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.1%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Pantal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Manaoag is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pantal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
