Barangay Canhabagat

Barangay Canhabagat forms part of Medellin, a municipality in Cebu, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canhabagat had a population of 2,373. This made it the 12th largest of 19 barangays in Medellin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canhabagat accounted for approximately 3.98% of the total population of Medellin, which stood at 59,605 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Canhabagat changed from 2,355 to 2,373, a shift of +0.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Medellin. Barangay Canhabagat is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
