Barangay Zone III (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Zone III (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Murcia in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zone III (Pob.) had a population of 575. This made it the 21st largest of 23 barangays in Murcia by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Zone III (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.65% of the total population of Murcia, which stood at 88,868 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 806 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 575 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -28.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Zone III (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
