Barangay Igpit

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Igpit is one of the administrative divisions of Opol in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Igpit had a population of 12,902. This made it the 2nd largest of 14 barangays in Opol by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Igpit accounted for approximately 19.45% of the total population of Opol, which stood at 66,327 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Igpit moving from 11,800 residents to 12,902 residents, an intercensal change of +9.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Igpit is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
