Barangay Taboc

Situated in Opol, Misamis Oriental, Barangay Taboc is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Taboc had a population of 3,912. This made it the 5th largest of 14 barangays in Opol by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taboc accounted for approximately 5.90% of the total population of Opol, which stood at 66,327 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Taboc moving from 3,400 residents to 3,912 residents, an intercensal change of +15.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Taboc is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Opol is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Taboc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
