Barangay Nangcaon

Situated in Opol, Misamis Oriental, Barangay Nangcaon is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nangcaon had a population of 793. This made it the 13th largest of 14 barangays in Opol by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nangcaon accounted for approximately 1.20% of the total population of Opol, which stood at 66,327 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Nangcaon moving from 903 residents to 793 residents, an intercensal change of -12.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
