Barangay Patag

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Patag is one of the administrative divisions of Opol in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Patag had a population of 6,618. This made it the 4th largest of 14 barangays in Opol by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Patag accounted for approximately 9.98% of the total population of Opol, which stood at 66,327 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Patag moving from 5,570 residents to 6,618 residents, an intercensal change of +18.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Patag is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Opol is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Patag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
