Barangay Batuan Ilaud

Barangay Batuan Ilaud is a small barangay in the municipality of Oton, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Batuan Ilaud had a population of 938. This made it the 30th largest of 37 barangays in Oton by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Batuan Ilaud accounted for approximately 0.95% of the total population of Oton, which stood at 98,509 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Batuan Ilaud moving from 924 residents to 938 residents, an intercensal change of +1.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Batuan Ilaud as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
