Barangay Bita Sur

Situated in Oton, Iloilo, Barangay Bita Sur is one of 37 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

This made it the 37th largest of 37 barangays in Oton by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bita Sur accounted for approximately 0.56% of the total population of Oton, which stood at 98,509 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bita Sur changed from 545 to 550, a shift of +0.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Oton. Barangay Bita Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
