Barangay Aggugaddan

Situated in Peñablanca, Cagayan, Barangay Aggugaddan is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Aggugaddan had a population of 2,656. This made it the 7th largest of 24 barangays in Peñablanca by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Aggugaddan accounted for approximately 5.28% of the total population of Peñablanca, which stood at 50,300 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Aggugaddan moving from 2,729 residents to 2,656 residents, an intercensal change of -2.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Aggugaddan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
