Barangay Suyoc

Barangay Suyoc is a small barangay in the municipality of Placer, located in the province of Surigao Del Norte, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Suyoc had a population of 662. This made it the 17th largest of 20 barangays in Placer by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Suyoc accounted for approximately 2.24% of the total population of Placer, which stood at 29,616 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Suyoc moving from 633 residents to 662 residents, an intercensal change of +4.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Suyoc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
