Barangay Ligtong I

Barangay Ligtong I is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Rosario, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ligtong I had a population of 4,792. This made it the 10th largest of 20 barangays in Rosario by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ligtong I accounted for approximately 4.32% of the total population of Rosario, which stood at 110,807 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ligtong I changed from 4,674 to 4,792, a shift of +2.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Rosario. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ligtong I as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Rosario is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ligtong I, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
