Barangay Ligtong IV

Barangay Ligtong IV forms part of Rosario, a municipality in Cavite, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ligtong IV had a population of 2,961. This made it the 15th largest of 20 barangays in Rosario by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ligtong IV accounted for approximately 2.67% of the total population of Rosario, which stood at 110,807 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,893 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,961 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ligtong IV as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Rosario is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ligtong IV, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ligtong IV ranks 372nd by 2020 population.
