Situated in Rosario, Cavite, Barangay Poblacion is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 17th largest of 20 barangays in Rosario by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion changed from 1,894 to 2,099, a shift of +10.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Rosario. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
