Barangay Balansag

Barangay Balansag is a small barangay in the municipality of Roseller Lim, located in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balansag had a population of 750. This made it the 26th largest of 26 barangays in Roseller Lim by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balansag accounted for approximately 1.72% of the total population of Roseller Lim, which stood at 43,575 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balansag moving from 879 residents to 750 residents, an intercensal change of -14.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Balansag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
