Barangay Calula

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Calula is one of the administrative divisions of Roseller Lim in Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calula had a population of 1,116. This made it the 20th largest of 26 barangays in Roseller Lim by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calula accounted for approximately 2.56% of the total population of Roseller Lim, which stood at 43,575 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calula moving from 1,158 residents to 1,116 residents, an intercensal change of -3.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calula as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Roseller Lim is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calula, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Zamboanga Sibugay, which contains 389 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Calula ranks 244th by 2020 population.
