Barangay Supi-il

Situated in San Juan, Abra, Barangay Supi-il is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Supi-il had a population of 792. This made it the 5th largest of 19 barangays in San Juan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Supi-il accounted for approximately 7.41% of the total population of San Juan, which stood at 10,688 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Supi-il changed from 628 to 792, a shift of +26.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Juan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Supi-il as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Juan is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Supi-il, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Abra, which contains 303 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Supi-il ranks 122nd by 2020 population.
