Barangay Bongon

Situated in Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Bongon is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

This made it the 9th largest of 34 barangays in Sirawai by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bongon changed from 725 to 769, a shift of +6.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sirawai. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bongon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
