Barangay Lagundi

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Lagundi is one of the administrative divisions of Sirawai in Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lagundi had a population of 482. This made it the 23rd largest of 34 barangays in Sirawai by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lagundi accounted for approximately 1.55% of the total population of Sirawai, which stood at 31,163 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 325 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 482 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +48.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Lagundi is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sirawai is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lagundi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
