Barangay Lubok

Situated in Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Lubok is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lubok had a population of 841. This made it the 7th largest of 34 barangays in Sirawai by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lubok accounted for approximately 2.70% of the total population of Sirawai, which stood at 31,163 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 765 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 841 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Lubok is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sirawai is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lubok, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Zamboanga Del Norte, which contains 691 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Lubok ranks 458th by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
