Barangay Nahus-an

Barangay Nahus-an forms part of Sogod, a municipality in Cebu, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nahus-an had a population of 1,181. This made it the 14th largest of 18 barangays in Sogod by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nahus-an accounted for approximately 2.99% of the total population of Sogod, which stood at 39,447 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nahus-an changed from 1,068 to 1,181, a shift of +10.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sogod. Barangay Nahus-an is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sogod is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nahus-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cebu, which contains 1,203 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Nahus-an ranks 794th by 2020 population.
