Barangay Santa Cecilia

Situated in Tagkawayan, Quezon, Barangay Santa Cecilia is one of 45 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Cecilia had a population of 4,215. This made it the 2nd largest of 45 barangays in Tagkawayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Cecilia accounted for approximately 7.81% of the total population of Tagkawayan, which stood at 54,003 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Cecilia changed from 4,192 to 4,215, a shift of +0.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Tagkawayan. Barangay Santa Cecilia is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tagkawayan is a municipality comprising 45 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Cecilia, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
