Barangay San Miguel

Barangay San Miguel is a very small barangay in the municipality of Tagudin, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 396. This made it the 39th largest of 43 barangays in Tagudin by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 0.95% of the total population of Tagudin, which stood at 41,538 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Miguel moving from 379 residents to 396 residents, an intercensal change of +4.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Miguel as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
