Barangay Labnig

Situated in Talacogon, Agusan Del Sur, Barangay Labnig is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Labnig had a population of 3,426. This made it the 4th largest of 16 barangays in Talacogon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Labnig accounted for approximately 8.63% of the total population of Talacogon, which stood at 39,678 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Labnig moving from 2,888 residents to 3,426 residents, an intercensal change of +18.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Labnig is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Talacogon is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Labnig, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
