Barangay San Agustin (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Talacogon in Agusan Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) had a population of 4,012. This made it the 3rd largest of 16 barangays in Talacogon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) accounted for approximately 10.11% of the total population of Talacogon, which stood at 39,678 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) changed from 4,314 to 4,012, a shift of -7.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Talacogon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Agustin (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Talacogon is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Agustin (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
