Barangay Culasian

Barangay Culasian is a small barangay in the municipality of Titay, located in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Culasian had a population of 1,466. This made it the 11th largest of 30 barangays in Titay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Culasian accounted for approximately 2.72% of the total population of Titay, which stood at 53,994 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Culasian moving from 1,389 residents to 1,466 residents, an intercensal change of +5.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Culasian is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
