Situated in Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, Barangay Kipit is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

This made it the 8th largest of 30 barangays in Titay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kipit accounted for approximately 3.52% of the total population of Titay, which stood at 53,994 in the same census year.
