Barangay Misibis

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Misibis is one of the administrative divisions of Tiwi in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Misibis had a population of 2,254. This made it the 10th largest of 25 barangays in Tiwi by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Misibis accounted for approximately 3.99% of the total population of Tiwi, which stood at 56,444 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Misibis changed from 2,192 to 2,254, a shift of +2.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tiwi. Barangay Misibis is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tiwi is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Misibis, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
