Barangay Tigbi (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tigbi (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Tiwi in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tigbi (Pob.) had a population of 2,934. This made it the 6th largest of 25 barangays in Tiwi by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tigbi (Pob.) accounted for approximately 5.20% of the total population of Tiwi, which stood at 56,444 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,168 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,934 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -7.4%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Tigbi (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Tiwi is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tigbi (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
