Barangay Adlawan

Barangay Adlawan forms part of Valencia, a municipality in Bohol, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Adlawan had a population of 557. This made it the 27th largest of 35 barangays in Valencia by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Adlawan accounted for approximately 1.96% of the total population of Valencia, which stood at 28,392 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 493 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 557 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Adlawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Valencia is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Adlawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
